having different filters for different displays in a view.

I have been trying to do some thing with the views but could not find the solution, actually I want to add different filters for different displays in a view, for example if I add two 'block' displays in a view and then want to be able to put a filter in one block display but not in the other. Currently when I put a filter in one block display, it automatically appears in the other block display as well. Is there some setting that can let me do this?
