"Expanded" option automatically becomes deselected when parent item edited

Hi,

Has anyone experienced problems with the "Expanded" option??

In my case, the "Expanded" option automatically becomes deselected when the parent item (page) is edited.

So I have to go back to "advanced menu settings" and select it again.
This shouldn't be happening right?

Any help would be appreciated
