My blocks page
drupal/?q=admin/build/block/list/simply_modern
Says there is nothing in the right sidebar and hence the right side bar does not appear. okay, good.

The blocks page also says there is nothing at all in the horizontal suckerfish menu bar, but the bar appears with a menu in it.

suckerfish menu is off in drupal/?q=admin/build/themes/settings/simply_modern

The suckerfish menu is a nice facility, but how come its so pesky and won't drop out when requested???

I got someone with php skills to kill the offending suckerfish menu - the problem is gone (for me that is)

But my question, (which I think is a fair one) remains. Did I disable the menu correctly and if so, why would it persist?
