How about linking the "Rate it" link to an anchor such as http://site/node/535#vote so the user doesn't have to scroll down to the end of the node looking for the voting box?

I wouldn't mind seeing this, too. It seems terribly silly to have a "Rate it" link right next to a "read more" link when they both do exactly the same thing ~ and the redundant link can't be removed without modifying the module.
I may be complaining a little but I really ought to say I'm glad for this module. It suits my installations' needs the most. Too bad about the "Rate it" link, though.
