I am just about finished with my new Drupal site. http://soshion.com
Soshion is pronounced (so-shion) like fashion. The concept was to create a
site that combines social networking and graphic tee's in one. Social fashion.
Our goal is to create a website for users to express themselves, with statuses,
photos, designs and scoring designs.
This is a one hundred percent social network integrated with graphic tee shirts.
We would like to attract graphic designs to upload their designs, so that
members can vote on their designs. The top designers will be awarded a monetary
prize. The designs will be made into tee shirts and place on the website for
sale. Soshion has a point system that encourages members to interact. Members
receive points every time a status, photos, shirt design and vote is posted.
Points are accumulated for store credit, reducing the price of a graphic tee.
All constructive criticism are welcome. Please feel free to create an account. I would like to get some feedback on the social aspect of the site.

I am very surprised that no one has even giving me any feedback what soever. I Drupal is a place for people with like minds to come together and share ideas and help each other out.

The showcase section of Drupal I find to be least commented with a few exceptions.
As for the site it looks really good and I'm quite sure there is a lot going on "under the hood" if you don't mind could you give us an estimate of traffic coming to your site as well as how you are managing such traffic. A common discussion within the Drupal community is managing large traffic or large spikes in traffic.

I just made an account on your site, but the validation e-mail wouldnt send. im using hotmail account, tried to resend the link a few times but never got it.
Your site didnt look right either after I created the account, might have been because I couldnt validate my account, but nothing would show up when I tried to navigate back to your home page, on some pages the blocks in the right sidebar didnt show, and there were no user links like my account, or logout, So noway of getting back to my account.

Well, if you get it working, be sure to update the post. It's hard for anyone to give you feedback when most of the site requires login.

nice concept!
i think, however, since its about graphics/fashion you really must have a big display window showing the designs on the front page. the google ads section is too big and obvious for me. and it does need a little bit more color. like, one more color

Thanks for the feedback. I added some color to the menu bar. I figured a way around the emails for now. I unchecked the login toboggan for the email conformation message. I am using the recaptcha module. Users are able to sign up and log in immediately without conformation.

problem solved
I mannaged to fix the email problem for now by using loggin toboggan. I allowed immediate log in after signup, and disabled the loggin sucssesful message. I am also using the captcha assist with spaming.
