Hi,

How do I enable users to administer the comments on their blog entries only?

Because when I enabled "administer comment" rights. Every user can administer all the comments. I want them to be able to only administer the comments on their own blog.

Is there a feature?

Please help, I am in urgent need of it,
Million thanks in advance.

This can not be done out of the box, but you can customize the comments module to do this, by checking to see if the user can edit the node. If yes, then let them edit/delete the comments as well.

I think this ability should be given into the core code, since many people who author a node or blog should be able to edit/delete the comments attached to the node (same location of information should merit the same control capabilities).

This should be a setting in the comments module to allow or disallow the node author (can be setup per node type) the ability to administer comments.

What do other people think?

By node type would make sense - you might not want users with blogs to be able to edit everyone's posts on forum discussions that they started. It'd be a useful feature definitely.

I think it would be useful to have a module that allows 'administer comments' right to all authors of nodes of a particular type...

Something that would add this in Access Control for each content-type :

administer comments of own [pages, stories, blog entries...]
