I installed 4.6 as an upgrade some time ago. The chnage in the image module seemed to add the thumbs in with the preview and original size versions of each picture. Previously in 4.5they were in a separate sub-folder.

At any rate the system has been working fine for some months, with thumbs appearing an nodes etc.
Suddenly, and for no apparent reason, the thumbs do not appear and instead are substituted by the ful size image. Since many of our posts incorporate images, we now have a very messy presentation which you can see by going here:

www.forestlake.ca

I cannot figure out what might have changed. I had not made any changes to the site in some time. The thumbs are stil in place in the file/image/ folder, along with the regular size picture.

I am at my wit's end, and the site is going into a criical period of activity.

Can anyone give me a clue as to what might have changed, and how to recover?

Something changed on your site. Keep in mind that Drupal is only one component o your site. Did somethign change on the webserver, the php version, the MySQL database? Did you host upgrade? Did your system auto-update? Did cPanel did something?
