anyone know how to do this

i want to add edit delete fields under the operations column. they are there when i create a page but they are not there for custom content i created with cck. ***i posted this as an issue with cck earlier tonight, but i think it's more of a workspace deal. please help, been looking for a solution for at least ten hours now....drupal newbie. sorry guys, but thanks.
