i need a CMS for my projects .... i tryed drupal .. i didn't understood anything .. then after a week (with help) i was able to create a simple page with it. I somehow managed to implement my own design with overriding templates... but ... i still don't know anything ... all i know is that you need a lot of knowledge to work with it.
Then i tryed MODx ... in three days i was able to create more sofisticated page... all was clear after three days ... in drupal after a week i still didn't had a clue ...
So my obvius choice is to use MODx for now on ... or someone have a good reason why stick with drupal ?

If you find that MODx suits your purposes than you should stay with it. I tried MODx and while I did not explore all its the possibilities, I got the sense that it was really just a framework and not a complete CMS in every sense of the word. Its been awhile, so things might have changed, I am not sure.
Drupal is a developer-oriented CMS, and the learning curve is steep, but the rewards are great. You might want to try drupal 7.x, to see if it is any easier for you to manage.
i will keep an eye on drupal,
i will keep an eye on drupal, and maybe sometime i'll try it again ....
i have a lot of experience building sites with html/css and php/mysql ... with modx i used my knowledge right away and i achivied my goal preaty quick .... i can't say that with drupal .. learning curve is too long. So my tought was .. why first learn drupal to do something if i can do the same with MODx right away ....
i think that both are great CMS .. in my case MODx is better than DRUPAL....
I use both Drupal and MODx,
I use both Drupal and MODx, they're both great for different reasons, and you should use whichever one suits you best. I have a lot of thoughts on both, and instead of repeating them all here I'll point you to an interview I did on the topic:

Hope this gives you some insights.
Drupal is easier after initial difficulties
For simple websites MODx is great, however if you want something more complicated than Drupal should be your choice.
This is because drupal has so many ready to use modules. With MODx you will have to make a lot of things from scratch and if you are not an expert in PHP that will be difficult.
From my experience Drupal is easier to use after the initial steep climb.
However, the MODx community is the best on the net. I wish Drupal had such a cosy and helpful community.
Yes drupal has a lot of
Yes drupal has a lot of allready made modules, but then you are dependet on that module developer, because i never found a module that perfect match my needs and there can be problems with version upgrades, so i rather to do it myself and modx offers me an easier way to do it.
Anyway .. i like more modx than drupal for now and i think that any project can be done using one or other CMS system... modx for me is easier than drupal and more flexibile to use my own aknowledge of site building .. with drupal i had to allways adapt to something...
