Clone operation causes site to be unavailable

During a clone operation, the "Owner Preservation" drush module takes ownership of the entire site. This causes the site to be unavailable until the clone operation has completed, which can be a serious issue for large sites. The module should only temporarily change the permissions on the site, not take ownership of it, during a read-only operation like clone.
