From my orginal simple HTML index and directory system. I want to incorporate a directory with its own index page and the subdirectories with their own html pages into my new drupal site. These are simple text articles with some graphics.
How do I create or import the the index menu for the main subdirectory and all the subdirectories and menus below the main index page? I don't want to have to cut n paste these html/text articles into drupal, its too much work, I just would like the articles to be in the drupal site wrapper.
When I try to simple enter http://mysite.net/myoldhtmlarticles drupal now controls the directory and no index page appear, instead I get page not found.

if you are moving static html pages from an existing site to drupal, this page might help - http://drupal.org/node/48371.
