Hey there,

I am getting a "The e-mail address xxxx is already registered. Have you forgotten your password?" message when trying to update the account information.

I am currently logged in as the user that I am trying to edit.
I can edit the other categories ("personal info", etc) fine.
But on the account page, it will not let me save any changes...

This is a show-stopper. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Please help if you have any ideas.

This kind of issue has happened to me when the Firefox autocomplete password remembering feature fills in the email and/or password fields in the form. Try emptying out either or both these fields before saving your account changes and see if it makes a difference.

Good thought, but no, I never have Firefox remember any passwords and turn all form completion off.

I had recently installed the "me" module, and thought maybe there was a conflict, but disabling it didn't help either...

Frustrating...

Seems to be an issue with my main admin account...

I just registered a completely new account, and am not having this problem... which is good... but how do I fix it on my "user 1" account... ?

Ideas?

I had a similar problem. The problem was that the email id was used with another account. You can do a sql search on the users table to find the duplicate.
