Hi all. I launched my new site on drupal on Saturday and unfortunately I have been hitting my 20% CPU usage limit, and it is getting more and more frequent. I use bluehost.com and have seen others with that host have similar problems, but I have not seen them follow up with the solution they went with.
Are there any suggestions as to another host to switch to? I am only 80 days from my 1 year deal expiring, so now is a prime time to switch.
I will be looking over other CPU issues and how to reduce them for the time being, if you have any tips for that those would be appreciated as well!
Thanks!

I've been ablte to entirely avoid most CPU issues by using the devel module to track sql queries and page load times.
Some hoggy modules tend to include, but are not limited to:
1. locale
2. pathauto
3. category
4. views (when too much is going on in one page).
You probably no doubt know that turning on cache, and sometimes throttling is a the only way to keep CPU usage under control.
Also, it helps to minimize the amount of dynamically generated content on one page. -- and actually, the visitors usually appreciate simple pages because they're easier to use.

thanks for suggesting the devel module, ill look at it tonight..
i enabled the throttling and page cacheing, but it still happens here and there, and quite frankly i dont want to have to disable my functionality when the server is under only moderate load - its not like 1000 users at the same time, its more like 60..
im hoping to find another server solution, either that or get bluehost.com to help explore other options..
What theme do you use?
I recently joined Bluehost and I'm having the same problems. I have a very quiet site - my "community-oriented" site pretty-much only has to deal with my own visits. :) Even after I turned on page cacheing and installed the block cache module to reduce the load from my blocks, I was still getting errors. Regardless, I hit the CPU limits on Bluehost CONSTANTLY. And frankly, their support has been pretty useless.
The only useful thing I found from searching their forums wat that you should check your
/home/yourusernsame/tmp/cpu_exceeded_logs/directory and see what the log files say. The log files in that directory had a load of really weird lines that seemed to finger either the CiviCRM module, or the Meta theme. Well, I'm not getting rid of CiviCRM after the heinous install procedure I had to go through, so I buckled down and switched the pretty Meta theme over to FriendsElectric. So far so good....I'd be really interested if you had insights to offer on this issue - bluehost is inexpensive and feature-rich, so I'd be happy to stay with them if I could get rid of the CPU problems.
