Hi
I have installed and tested the RPX module in combination with a basic account and liked it very much. After testing I have upgraded my RPX account to a plus subscription in order to enable the social widget. I also configured the providers for the widget and checked the 'add share link' in my module configuration. However, the share link is not being displayed in the comments section. Do I miss something here?
regards
Fred

fredvasse commentedI have installed the latest build to check if the share widget would work, but no luck so far. Does anyone have an idea what I am missing?

nrambeck commentedFred, I've never had any problems with this. Make sure you have Social Publishing turned on and configured with at least one provider. This is done on the rpxnow.com site.
If you still have trouble, try this:
1. Go to RPX Settings Page
2. Remove RPX API key value from the RPX Setup section and Save the settings
3. Add the RPX API key back in and the Save the settings form again.
This will re-save all your latest settings on the rpxnow.com site to Drupal.

gagarine commentedI had a similar problem. I didn't first configured the Social Publishing on the rpxnow.com site. When I enabled the "Attach share to comments" option this one disappeared!
Updating the list of service didn't work. I follow #2 and I get the option back and the widget work now.
The option should never disappear and a short explanation beside the option with a link will also help.

cmcintosh commentedI can confirm that this is an issue with the current module. i beleive it has to deal with the class file being used to contact RPX.

cmcintosh commentedOkay so seems like just bad navigation for the Janrain site that caused the confusion for me. For those having a similar process I will walk through the steps, in this case i will use FaceBook as the example.
1. Get your FB App ID, API Key, Private Key. Enter these into: https://rpxnow.com/relying_parties//providers
2. On this same page, check off all the ticks you need, but make sure to also check Social Sharing. The button turns green. There is no other indication on the site that it saved your setting, but it does. (if Janrain is reading this, fix your on site UI dood)
3. At this point you may think your done, However you are not. You also need to go here: https://rpxnow.com/relying_parties/< YOU JANRAIN APP NAME >/social_publishing_2#steps and drag your provider over(my case again is in facebook).
4. At this point go back to your site, and you can click on the refresh providers link in the setup page. This will in fact display the social widget option if you followed 1 - 3. At worst case, disable the module, uninstall, re-install. Then come back and fill out your API key again.
