Since a "Planet" is usually a place where bloggers administer their own feeds, i think it is up to them to decide if an article should made it to the planet or not. So, the "Recent Items", "Auto-Publish" and "Convert to Blog" features have been replaced by the "planet" menu entry going to a single page, where all the planet feeds are regrouped together.
New Features:
Added "administer own planet feeds" permission.
My Account->Planet Feeds, entry.
You can now select the filter format you want in "planet settings".
When you add/delete a feed, all the items and nodes from that feed are also added/deleted..

This release adds the ability to have planet nodes automatically redirect to the source link for a given planet item. This may be useful for people who aren't comfortable editing templates to use the $node->link attribute the module adds. It's also useful for feed links, which are generated using node_feed, which defaults to the node/$nid url. Rather than hacking a copy of node_feed into planet, administrators can toggle this option on in the planet settings and have both web site clicks and feed clicks forward to the originating link.
One possible liability of this addition is that with the option turned on, administrators will not be able to click to a planet item to get the edit tab for editing and deleting; these operations will have to be performed through administration menus.

This release corrects the previous hasty/shoddy release with the following fixes:
- If no auto_publish string is specified in options, posts are no longer auto-converted to blog posts. This was a long-standing oversight having to do with the fact that the site I originally developed this module for did in fact have an auto_publish string, so the issue never showed up until I was recently testing more extensively to verify other bugs.
- Editing a feed's settings was causing a new feed to be created rather than performing an edit (see this bug). This too is resolved now.
- In install file, a create table query omitted a necessary field.
