Would it be possible if an activity node template is commented to save it as a node comment too (Like Heartbeats module react feature), and maybe configurable?

Postponed until after first release.

I generally do not like these ideas. Particullarly with node comments. People are going to wonder how their comment got on the blog post for instance.

But also, Admins will be in the issue queue asking why didn't Comment Notify work or why Notifications doesn't work or why WYSIWYG didn't work.

This falls pretty close to Feature Bloat.

I am also looking for similar kind of feature. but little different.

I want to replace the node comments with activity comments..

I am trying to call activity comment form from hook_nodeapi view operations.. is this the right way ? or..
I need to add through hook_form_alter.

I just want to display activity comments and form for a particular node type(blog), by disabling the default node comments. so that they cannot conflict.

please anyone suggest some way...

D6 reached its EOL back in February 2016, and there is no active release for D6 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D6. All D6-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.

If the issue remains relevant for D10+ versions, merge requests with proposed solutions for a new module version (D10+) are welcome in a new follow-up issue.
