I'm trying to use Organic Groups. I got this working on another site, but I don't remember how I managed to do it. Maybe I didn't really.

Anyway, what I'm trying to figure out how to do is to add users to a group. I keep seeing instructions to use links in the Group Details block. But my Group Details shows nothing but a "Request Subscription" link.

I am currently logged on as user 0, which is the user that created the groups initially and is listed as the author.

What am I missing, here?

I was able to get access to the rest of the group management controls by editing and re-submitting the group node. I did not find that suggestion anywhere, so I'm assuming people just parsed it out in their minds when answering the frequently asked question, "how do I add users to a group?"

This looks like another case where it's necessary to edit the node before it will reflect status. Though I'm not sure why that was necessary in this case.

Make sure you have Organic Groups access contol enabled (the button on the OG settings page).

That's what it was. I made no configuration changes. I had to take that step five times, and each time I saw the group appear and become available. That's what the solution was.

You have to have the "Group details" block enabled. Weird. Strange, I know. But there are no tabs that get you where you need to go. After enabling the block you need to go to the group page and then you will see the magic link in the block called "X subscribers" where X is the number of subscribers you currently have.

Good luck!
