I followed the instructions here (http://drupal.org/node/628292) and everything worked swimmingly. However the instructions indicate in Step 3 (http://drupal.org/node/540242) "NOTE: Do not forget to change permissions back after you have run the installation script." but it doesn't list the proper default permissions. I know that this is pretty straightforward stuff for most people but I got tripped up on it and it would have been nice to have it clearly written there. This problem was compounded by the fact that someone replied a comment indicating to change them back to 644, which is partially incorrect.
The settings.php should be changed back to 644. the /default directory should be changed to 755.
I have added this comment to the Step 3 page as well.
