avpadernoI also sent an email to the current maintainer, reporting my offer to take over this project, and asking him to reply here.

amuzulo commentedWhat is your experience with Esperanto? I'd like to know about your competence doing English-Esperanto translations before I give up my role. I'm finishing up a major project this week and then I was planning to take care of the Drupal localization issues next week.

avpadernoMy only interest is to allow the passage to the localization server, as who asks to create the Esperanto translation group is asked what relation has with the translation project on Drupal.org.
My knowledge of Esperanto is basic (see my sign), but I know that the correct translation of is .
My idea was to import the translation template to l.d.o, and give the permission to approve translations to a user who asked to create the translation group on l.d.o.
If you are going to take care of this, consider declined my offer.

amuzulo commentedAh, you're welcome to take over the technical side of dealing with the Esperanto translation. I was just worried you were going to translate Drupal poorly. I then happily authorize you to take over the task of importing the Esperanto translation to the localization server. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

avpadernoI apologize; the misunderstanding was from my side.
My only intention is to take over the technical part, and to allow other people to participate in the translation of Drupal in Esperanto. Anyway, my knowledge of Esperanto is enough for me to translate from Esperanto to Italian (my first language), and verify that the proposed translations are correct.
Does that mean I can take over the Esperanto project, and report that I accept the passage to the localization server? Naturally, I would give you permission to administer the group too, and I would propose to Sonjaaa to join as user with permission to accept translations.
