i already have posted about my website mobileandvideogames.com but just wanted to be very specific on my question regarding feedback...Question is : Do you agree that http://www.mobileandvideogames.com is one of the most complex websites made using drupal.....Especially the way information regarding each game is stored and retrieved.....Please comment, this is my first website and i am very excited and curious to know the feedback...

yeah, I think it is in the best 5-7 websites!

The site looks pretty but you may want to share more details on what you have done. There are some very complex websites listed int he showcase forums with very detailed write ups you can compare against.

The site overall looks nice but I would suggest you make a custom favicon to replace Drupalicon.

but on my display the repeat on the background image looks kinda messy ... theme design for all resolutions can be a challenge.

lot of things I dislike about the site.

* first of all: no, this is not complex and if it feels complex to you, you either lack knowledge or you've done things the wrong way.
* Furthermore get that 'logo' out of there asap, you just cannot ever use Comic Sans MS again!!
* the favicon is still default drupal, which is lame
* the wallpaper/background is ugly and makes the site a pita to stay on for a while. Also its 900kB in size, which is WAY too much
* Pages like these are not very pretty to read. Look at www.tweakers.net to see how content should look on a site.
* I like this sentence: "Tekken 6 Review is here, this one is an amazing game and you can resist playing again and again" :) -> you're basically saying I can resist playing, which is obviously not what you meant.
* your site is slow. use a proper caching system
* compare your site to gamez.nl. Gamez.nl is clean, quite unique and structured in a way that its easy on the eyes and nice to read. The titles arent extremely big, the paddings are all equally divided etc etc. it just looks good.

Overall: good idea, but lots to do!

I agree, not a bad start, but I gave up looking at your site after it took more than 15 seconds to load a page..

lol, seriously not even the most complex site I've seen today. And jay is right-- comic sans?

But never mind....i will be back and and that too with a bang....Thanks for all the feedback....Actually after learning a bit of drupal i though i got a genie....i know it needs a bit of work...www.mobileandvideogames.com is surely going to rock....

Finishing was not done but only the functionality.......

I really am glad to get some genuine feedback, once again thanks to all.....

* Pressflow
* Caching
* Boost module

The site is far too slow, I almost didn't let it finish loading. Look into the three search terms above and get back to us when the site is reasonably fast. You should also read up on user experience and how slow sites loose traffic. If you you download firefox, download the YSLOW extension and look into its tips for speeding up your website. Some of those tips have dedicated modules dealing with the particular problem.

I surely will and will make sure that you dont leave the site without looking at entire functionality......Thanks very much for the suggestions......

This site is going to be on the front page - drupal showcase....for sure at the least.....

will keep an eye on you, Thanks very much....

No. I wouldn't consider it one of the most complex sites built on drupal.

Lastly, please don't create another post in the showcase forum. This post is essentially a duplicate of http://drupal.org/node/811246. Further posts asking similar questions may be viewed as link spam and removed.

i wont create any other such post....and you can delete the other node as well........spam is not my intent...
