Great module.

It would be nice if you could change the generated link to the userid instead of the username. Users on my website are allowed to change username, which makes mentions obsolete. It doesn't really matter if the link still says @Philip after i changed my name to @Battin , if just the link still worked!

There is no further Drupal 6 development planed for Mentions. Sorry this issue was never resolved.

P.s., This functionality is available in the Drupal 7 version of the module.
