Hi
I have loaded about 10-15 drupal plugin modules and the site has slowed down (>20 sec).
Does using the throttle function help? I don't use much images but have ad banners on left, right, footer and in content.
Would appreciate if someone can advise how else I can speed up.

You can always turn on caching. Admin > Settings

And if you have access to the server you can review http://drupal.org/node/2601.
