E-Commerce is lacking an important feature for a brokerage or vendor web site. The ability to setup thrid party vendor accounts in order for multiple vendors to sell products under one site.

Each vendor needs their own product management section, sales reports, payment reports and pending payments, etc.

The site manager would also need to be able to review uploaded for-sale products before making them available for sale, and either set them into a rejected or accepted status.

There are other factors that would need to be taken into account, but for now I wanted to get this submitted as an issue.

Agreed on the importance of this. A reporting feature plus the ability for users to clear payments through Paypal would be a substantial feature bonus.

It's my goal to set up a site where artists can sell digital downloads of their work, and the only way for this to work without lots of investment in attorney and accounting fees, I think, would be for them to sell the goods themselves on my site after paying me a subscription or listing fee.

So hypothetically a buyer would use Paypal, Paypal would send back an IPN confirmation, and then the user would have download permission for the file in question. The money would go directly into the Paypal acct of the seller, and presumably he would have prepaid me a subscription fee (or listing fee) for the right to sell on my site.
