The attached patch cleans up the "shiny.css" file used for the spriting technique with the "shiny" iconset. With that cleaned up CSS file an unwanted extra line between the icon and the corresponding text disappeared on my sites using Fusion based themes. I think on most sites the result is the same, but the CSS properties can be changed easier if people need to experiment.

That are not working so good on Drupals standar theme Garland.

Yes, you are right. Just tested it with Garland and it looks ugly. With Fusion based themes like Acquia Marina it looks perfect however.

Do you have another solution that works nicely with both themes?
