I have uploaded the latest version of the buddylist module, (4.7 - 23/08/06) run my update script, and tried to enable the buddylist module without the profile module enabled. I am unable to run it without the profile module enabled. Am i missing a step? do i need to do something different?
thanks!

jbhan commentedHere is some more info. I am able to install and enable the buddylist module. I can call the buddylist onto a themed page, and add and subtract from the buddylist. Also, on the userpage it displays the buddies and buddies of. However, when i goto the 'My buddylist' menu item, no buddies are listed - nor are 'buddies of listed' the groups work fine. buddies are listed.
any idea? I am using 4.7.2 - i had an older version of buddylist before, and now the new version loaded in. i ran the update script also.
thanks!

jbhan commentedSorry, meant to add that the text:
"The buddylist module requires the profile module to be enabled in order to use this functionality"
is displayed above the page 'buddylist'

fagohm, strange. Why does buddylist need the profile module to do a user listing?
Would be great if the buddylist module works without the profile module, too. Users might use the nodeprofile module or a custom module, that uses hook_user() like the profile module.
So I'm turning this into a feature request.
