A simple question!

- I have my central store/warehouse.
- I have several outlets/sellers.
- The outlets make their own orders and central store/warehouse sends to it.
- Each store will have its products now.
- Final customers can order orders only from the point of sale, right?!
- Can Marketplace makes this to works?!

As seller how can I make an order?!
As central store/warehouse can I make order for a seller?! (If a see that a seller have a product out of stock I want to refurbish It!)

Tanks a lot

If I understand correctly, the seller's interaction with the final customer can happen at the point of sale, and you don't need that transaction to be supported by this module?

What you would like is to use this module as a way for the warehouse to manage it's sellers and their products?

If so that would probably work. However, maybe you should clarify the above?

Yes I know, my english it's not so good.

Even so you understand what I have to do: "I would like is to use this module as a way for the warehouse to manage it's sellers and their products"

I don't care about payment and shipping, I need only to track :
- the items/products that the central store sends to each seller
- the items/products sold by the seller

Now problem is:
If I have the central store with all the products in the catalog: how to assign some products to a seller, other products to another seller?!
How can a seller sell their own products?!

Tnx a lot!

Unless someone else out there has comments, I think maybe the best way to setup Marketplace would be in the traditional way. Make each outlet a seller. At that point all the features are in place for them sell products, track stock, see their reports, etc.

Then the only problem would be for you to manage your sellers. By default you would be able to see their sales, reports, stock, etc. You would be able to manage all sellers and see what products they have but I think the problem would be keeping track of what the central warehouse had sent each seller. You would be able to see this information indirectly by tracking what each seller had sold and has in stock but that wouldn't be very user friendly.

I think the best way to deal with this would be a custom module for the admin to track products sent to sellers.

It would be more difficult to manage (easier to setup though), but another solution might be to create a "warehouse seller". Then to keep track of products you could manually have the warehouse seller sell a product at the same time you add that product to one of the outlet's inventories. In that way the products you sent to outlets would be tracked in the warehouse seller's reports.

Does that make sense?
