Description

Hi, I've installed the pontomail module CVS under Drupal 4.7 and I didn't have any problem. After setting my email account and IMAP server all the menu entries appeared. It seems it connects ok with the server and I can check email and so. But when I try to compose and send a new email I get the following warning and the email is not sent:

"You must specify a valid date" (It actually appears translated into Spanish, so I suppose that is the original english message).

Hm. I shall look into the validate. This seems to be a reoccuring problem. What other modules do you have installed?

Apart from the required modules I've got installed several more: agreggator, wforms, activemenu, flexinode, formcheck, etc. but I haven't found any problem apart from that email form validation

Title:pontomail not sending mail» pontomail - cannot add accounts

Hi Souvent!

I just installed the pontomail module. I enabled the two modules and gave all the permissions. But if I go to users, it doesn't show email accounts and I cannot add an account, i.e. I have zero accounts.

I checked all possible fields in settings, but can't find anything missing, what should I do? The projects is www.kawtang.com hosted at sparkleserver.net.

On the Mail page, I see:

Mail
Pontomail Webmail Client
To your left, you should have a list of your current email accounts. Click on one to view the emails in that account.
Use the Compose feature to write an email.
Use the Settings selection to setup and/or edit your email accounts.

But there is no list on the left, even if I disable styles.

Where did I go wrong?

Thanks and love

Martin

Martin,

I apologize. I need to update that page. Your accounts are now controlled under your user page.

Go to site.com/user (or my My Account page). You will have a tab there that ways "E-Mail Accounts". Let me know how it goes for you.

Hi Earnest

First let me thank you for your real-time answer:

Second let me past the error message, I just got after running cron:

Mail

If I go to "My Account", this is what I get:

my account

* edit
* track
* contact
* E-Mail Accounts

User Webmail Settings
Active Server Name User Name

(All without styles) But no "add account" tab... Do I miss something?

Thanks and love

Martin,

Your welcome. Hm...term_data...I don't think I use that field. Let me put some better instructions up. Give me a day or so, and I'll repost to this open ticket when I finish. Sorry you're having trouble with pontomail.

Click on the "E-Mail Accounts" tab, and in there, there will be a "Form box" that says "Add Server", there you can add an email account.

Let me know if it is not there.

Jodoar - September 30, 2006 - 17:24

I have the same problem - there simply isn't an add account button!! I've attached a screenshot for reference. Any ideas?! I would love to get this module up and running!

Thanks.

Same problem here with a clean install of Drupal with Ponto Webmail.

#20

fomas - November 6, 2006 - 18:57

Hoping this helps:

In trying to find a workaround, I manually added a servername and assigned it to an existing uid directly in the db. This way the server showed up in the list, but upon clicking the "edit" button, the same page appeared again, and I was not able to edit it.

It seems that there may be a problem passing arguments to the script, but then again, my knowledge of php is not that good at all.

dextur - November 13, 2006 - 20:56

same here, no way to add accounts

Souvent22 - November 14, 2006 - 00:25

Alright guys. Sorry for the delay. I'm back on my module....if you guys could help by checking the issues, and replying via the threads or an email, i will promise to commit time 7 days this week, and a few days next week to get some patches into CVS.

I'll look into this bug first.

Martin Frank - November 17, 2006 - 17:22

Dear Souvent

Please say us more clearly what you expect us to do. Should we re-install pontomail? Is there a new version to download?

Thank you very much for caring.

Love

Martin

I have install the pontomail-HEAD.tar.gz version from November 11, 2006 - 09:14 how work to add new servers compared to the pontomail-4.7.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz one from August 15, 2006 - 09:04 .

But, when triying to acces "e-mails" from the menu after a server was added i have the following errors :
> Fatal error: Call to undefined function imap_timeout() in /srv/www/htdocs/www-public-80/drupal/modules/pontomail/IMAPService.inc on line 48
The Watchdog have this entry is :
> Unknown column 'server_ip' in 'field list' query: UPDATE pontomail_servers SET server_ip = '81.255.54.7' WHERE sid = 1 dans /srv/www/htdocs/www-public-80/drupal/includes/database.mysql.inc à la ligne 121.

the server is imap.laposte.net (a free webmail server)

Seems than is a sort af SQL database related error

I must be missing something here - I've just installed Drupal and the Pontomail module and I seem to be having the problem that many others were experiencing - I cannot create email accounts. I see from the posts above that this problem appears to have been fixed in November 06.

I have Drupal 4.7.4 installed and I installed the current available Pontomail module. I get no option to create an account when I go to My Account/Email Accounts.

I'm not experienced so I'm sure I must have missed something, but I've been trying to figure it out for hours. Any ideas?

okaydave - January 12, 2007 - 21:53

Funny thing - Itry and try for hours, and then immediately after I post a comment for some help, I go back to it and figure it out. I'd downloaded the wrong version of the module. I'm a muppet.
