I was trying out og and og mandatory group. The mandatory group does not show up in the my groups page. This makes sense (I guess). but it should say so in the readme. It took me awhile to figure this out because I was trying to figure out if og mandatory group correctly promoted the user, and it seemed like it didn't.

The 4.7 version of module does not have any effect on whether the group is listed in the groups directory (as far as I know). I suspect it's simply the setting you choose for that particular group.
