Hi,

I would like users to go to the last page of the forum topic rather than the first page, so when they reply can see their reply without having to hit "last page" every time they make a post. This is a fairly standard action for forums that should be part of the drupal forum module IMHO. In fact, some forums give the user the option after they post to go to their post (last page) or to go back to the topics list page. That would work too.

Can anyone help me with this?

I'd love to see this functionality also however the forums as standard don't do this.

We need a patch i think to gain this functionality and its really needed. If you have a thread that has over 30 replies spread out over 3 pages, the user submitting a new reply gets very confused when he or she doesn't see that reply due to returning to the first page on submittiance.

I've also noticed that the "new" tag doesn't cross pages so if you see a new comment in tracker and click the new yperlink and that comment is on page 2, it won't take you there but dump you at page one.

Anybody any ideas how to implement this ?

None from me i'm afraid :(

I did see a solution was was to hack into core files a while back but its really not something i'm keen on in all honesty as updating would be a nightmare.
