Hi all,

I am using heartbeat to display all the personal activity on my users profile pages. I have the FBSS status box above the HB activity stream and when a user enters a new status for themselves or on someone else's profile and submit it, it triggers a rule that posts the status to the HB stream and reloads the page so that the post will display on the HB stream.

This issue I am having is that I want to have it update the HB stream without reloading the page via AHAH or AJAX. Is there a way to edit the FBSS module so that when a status is submitted, it's AHAH triggers the update of the HB stream like shouts do? Or is there any other way to do this? I think that when something is Ajaxified, it does not trigger rules until page reload which is why I figure it should be integrated into the module itself. Please help, been stuck on this for weeks.

Cheers,

Jared

Thank you Stalski for the link!
I got it to work right and use AHAH when you enter a status to update the heartbeat stream. The problem is that when the heartbeat stream polls, it REPLACES the user's wall with your own. What I mean is if I am on someone else's profile and I write a status to the user, it uses the AHAH but when it refreshes it, it replaces the user's whos profile I am on with my own profile. Obviously this isn't an issue if I was on my own profile, but it still doesn't let me write to other people, which is the whole point of my needing to do this. Would their be a way to change heartbeat so that when it calls Drupal.heartbeat.pollMessages(); it refreshes the stream to whos profile you are currently on?

Cheers,

Jared
