I just tested something and I'm not sure if it's a bug with this module, or with Comment Upload, or just normal behavior. I created a new comment, but did not submit it. I attached two files to the comment. I then clicked the "remove" link next to each one. (This entire time, I have not submitted the comment.) Now, I understand that there will be a preview image file, created by iTweak Upload, in the ImageCache folder, but the two files I attached were also uploaded to the /sites/default/files directory, and they were not removed when I clicked the "remove" link. The preview image files in the ImageCache folder were removed, however, which is good, but the actual files, which are much larger than tiny thumbnails, were still on the server.

I can see this being an issue if users attach something, and then remove it later. The attachment should be deleted from the server as well.

Please let me know if this is a bug with Comment Upload, and I'll move the issue to that queue. If it's normal Drupal behavior, let please me know as well.

Thanks!

I turned off iTweak Upload and this still happened... but... that might be a good thing...

Can we turn this into a feature request and have the module delete the file that was uploaded if the "remove" link is clicked? Right now, this doesn't work unless the user submits the comment or node and then edits it again and then clicks the "remove" link (and I'm assuming it actually removes the file when editing an already-submitted node or comment, but I haven't tested yet).

I agree - it is a wrong issues queue. Please submit it to the comment upload queue.
