I am trying to install Drupal - XAMPP Lite on my laptop to run as a local server for development.

Everything goes fine until the third step - Site configuration on the Drupal page.

I have changed the default.setting.php as required but then I get endless password problems or a page with three lines of text indicating some kind of errors.....

any suggestions? anyone? anyone?

The problem is usually what the error message says. How could anyone know without reading it?

Also, Drupal installation instructions don't say to change default.settings.php. They say to create an unmodified copy and name it settings.php, without modifying that either, just make sure that it is writable.

i am a drupal newbie, and have been seriously struggling to install open enterprise on my laptop and i am getting the following error message

Fatal error: Class 'SelectQueryExtender' not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\ttt\openenterprise-7.x-1.0-rc3\includes\pager.inc on line 15
pls i need help
