The Input Formats don't seem to behave correctly with this theme

A one line break does work when selecting the Filtered HTML option, as the </p> tag is placed at the end of the previous line, but subsequent line breaks are ignored. Also, if you edit the >>Input Formats >> Filtered HTML >> Allowed HTML tags, and add something like a <br / > tag, this is completely ignored.

When selecting the Full HTML option, no code is acknowledged whatsoever.

Any clues as to why this is not working properly?

This doesn't sound like it could have anything to do with the theme. All it does is print out whatever content is in the node.
