Musician site with facebook/twitter/Tumblr integration + ecommerce file downloads and panels design.

Hi all,

A site to showcase a singer songwriter with lots of social media interaction. Design done in photoshop, then cut into panels + mini panels.

http://www.tomfiggins.com

Other features - ecommerce file purchase + a Flash music preview. Auto import from Twitter, blogs from Tumblr and friends from Facebook. Originally using Simplenews, but now using Facebook for messaging the masses....also, only facebook fans have access to the free track...

Quite a few modules used, but tried to keep it fairly lean as it's not a huge site. Main challange was to get the design to work and to keep it easy to masnage for the team behind

Well this site is beginning to come to a close now - I still have some IE issues to clear up so best viewed with Firefox/Safari etc.

Let me know what you think!

cheers, joe

Nice work

Hi Joe,

Nice work on the site! I used drupal for a musician friends website, robblackmusic.com

Need to ask, are you pulling in the tumblr content into drupal nodes?

cheers

Hi Tim, Thanks! Yours is

Hi Tim,

Thanks! Yours is looking nice too... The site imports Tumblr posts on every cron run through the Activity stream module (so they become 'activity stream' bits of content)

There isnt a Tumblr add on for Activity stream as a drupal module, but someone was kind enough to write one and post it together with a few others - follow my post here: http://drupal.org/node/808564 and look for a link to another post where you can find the Tumblr activity stream add on module.

The blog on that site is then done with views.

Any probs just shout,

cheers joe

Hey, I came across that post

Hey, I came across that post not too long ago. unfortunately, its not working as i would like, which would be the way yours is working. When I make a tumblr post the pics do not appear. Any idea why?

Hi, I'm not sure to be honest

Hi, I'm not sure to be honest - perhaps it has something to do with the input format (you could try adding an img tag to the filtered html format list)

I did have this problem too, and I'm not sure it's necessarily drupal. For me, not all of the pictures were showing, but I think it has resolved itself. It may be a certain type of picure - have you tried with different formats? JPG/GIF etc?

When I get a minute I'll have a look at our Tumblr set up and see if I can find out something new, Joe
