I have a custom file field which I am using in Views 2, but even though I have the hide if empty option selected in both the field and row options, it shows up as a blank area in the view nevertheless. If I switch to a conventional style for the field, it behaves as expected. Have just downloaded 6.x-1.5beta2 so will see if that does the same thing...

No different in 1.5beta2... can be got round through formatter code, but probably shouldn't need to
