The README contains instructions for modifying the theme, which isn't necessary for the 6.x version.

The README.txt file can be read as instructing people to install contributed modules into the core modules directory:

Place the entire page_title directory into your Drupal modules/ directory

Could we replace this with a link to documentation that is more likely to stay up to date, such as http://drupal.org/node/70151?
