Can nodewords have some api or some function like nodewords_set_meta_keywords()
it would be a gr8 features for person like me who often called to create some custom coding

For Nodewords 6.x-1, create a module that implements hook_nodewords_tags_alter() (and optionally hook_nodewords_default_value()). In Nodewords 6.x-3, the name of the hooks changes.

@snipe: I updated the file nodewords.api.php, which contains the description of each hook used by the nodewords.module. If you look ad the developing snapshot, you will see the updated file.
