No titles are assigned

I've recently updated from beta5 to dev (uninstalled beta5 and removed everything, then installed dev). Beta5 worked great but the problem that I'm encountering with the dev is that the users aren't assigned any titles. The titles are determined by the number of posts a user has (built in basic post counter) and are different for different roles. Sadly, the users never get a title at all, which they should get even if they have 0 posts.

I've tried creating a new account to see if it's only the users previously to the update that are affected but it isn't. New users doesn't get their title either. I've recalculated all the users titles, cleared cached data and even cleared my browsers cached data but nothing works, still no titles.

The thing that actually do work is if I edit the users manually and type in an overriding title. Then the that title is printed on the profile and in the forum.

Any clues to what the problem is?
