Provide a hookable Javascript API

It would be great to be able to hook into events such as when the dialog module closes, or opens for example, or even when a form is being submitted via the dialog.

This would be in the form of a hook type JS implementation where the dialog module would invoke the specific hook in any custom module's JS to allow them to alter the behaviour on the page.

The Ajax module has a similar hook type JS implementation.
