Hi,
i'm thinking of creating content (nodes) viewable by paid members only.

Is there a way / module in drupal that will handle user paid registration and access to paid content ?

Try this -> http://drupal.org/project/simple_access you can hide nodes from groups of people. You just have to setup your paid members into a group that is viewable.
