Hi everyone,

I just realized that this would be a VERY important feature for my site and don't know why I just thought about it!

I have read about the notify module and similar module but I need something more specific. Is there a way to have the users sign up to receive notices when another member fills in a cck feild with the same info? I will play around with both of these modules, but if someone has ay suggestions that would be great!!!

The subscriptions module is almost what I want. But it only allows you to subcribe to categories, I need something more specific. My site revolves around users filling in certain feilds in one main cck page. It would be sooo important to have them be able to be notified when someone fills in the same info!

Anyone know how I can acheive this?

OK... Cracking open the PHP book and opening the subscriptions module.. this is gonna hurt.. wish me luck! See you in a few months when I return from PHP hell!

OK... I think I have tried everything! I need help!! :D

I don't think I can change the subscription module to do this because it has to give users ability to sign up for the same cck field values as their own.

So, I thought maybe if I created categories for just street address and zip and allowed users to free tag this and then go inot thie account and subscribe. This looks REALLY ugly because 1) they have to fill out my categories then fill out the same info that belongs in the cck page. 2) As more users join, it will be hard to sift through all the street addresses and zip codes to chode what to subscribe to.

Which leads me to my next conclusion :)

I need a subscribtion page where I have a form for the user. I want to have it look something like this:

Notify me when another page has the following information-

Enter Address
Enter State
Enter City

But somehow I need to get the information to the user... As I put more thought into this, I get even MORE lost!!
