Pageballs.com - With Drupal you can go fast

pageballs.com is a new community website for germany, where people can write articles about anything. We started the site 4 weeks ago, and right now, pageballs.com is already listet as one of the top 100000 websites in the world. It has been build using drupal 6 and a long list of contributed modules. It's development has been started 12 weeks ago, with the goal to test drupal and its modules :-)

While testing modules and learning drupal architecture, we had a lot of fun with drupal (We Love It!), and we looked for a nice concept to make people use our site. We came to our idea to put adds on it, to share the income of the adds and donate some of it to charity. And it seems that people do like this idea, as we already have 400 articles and close to 100 users.

One main factor of success was Drupal and the experience of its developers which made things very easy for us. Drupal is also a great SEO CMS as we rank very good in google, just using the basic menus and some vanilla modules which help a lot to increase internal linking, paths and other search engine factors.
