does the invite module check for duplicate invites?

i.e. if an email is entered and the email already exisits in the user database, an error message is sent.

It doesnt look like it from a quick glance (i did not write the mod, just helping out ...) but if you come across a specific error relating to this please submit a bug report with exact steps to recreate the problem and i'll see about fixing it.
