Hi Raffi,
I like the look of the template, but have a couple of constructive (I hope) comments. Firstly, there's no navigation! I presume you will add this later. Is it going to go in the grey bar at the top?
I would be tempted to align the white vertical line between the grey and red sections at the top with the line separating the main section from the sidebar. From an accessibility point of view, I think the white text on the red background may not have enough contrast for some users.
I like it a lot. The block with the gradient and image text should be real text. The dithering in the gradient is a bit too obvious. You might try to find a solution that uses a smoother background image for the gradient, and one of several CSS drop shadow techniques for the text. Not a soft drop shadow, but more like a single pixel offset shadow. Then you could save the gradient with a higher bit depth and reduce the dithering a bit. You could float the angled portrait over the top in a div.
You'd probably want to just display a 50% gray box on any browser that couldn't do the CSS drop shadow.
You may already be doing this, but that's my 2 cents!
Thank you for your helpful comments. Now I'm designing a new theme based on this one but taking in consideration all advices I heared from you and other drupalists.
