I am using the book structure to organize my content, but there are occasions where I have story pages that I want to assign several books. The outline feature utlizes a drop down menu so that I can only attach the story page to one book. Is there a way to do a multi-select so that I can assign the page to several books?

Still looking for a solution to this problem. Would like to put the same node in different parent books so if I update the node, it will be updated in both books.

I've been having this problem too, but no idea how to fix it either.

Subscribe.
This would be very helpful to be able to link the same content to several books (or at different simultneous places within a book)

Is nobody wishing to outline a node into different books?

This request has also been mentioned here -- Can book pages appear in more than one book? -- though not much closer to a solution.

Books are not only hierarchical, they're also sequential -- one can page through them, (like a book, right?) How would sequential access work ~ next and previous possible pages? (Sounds like those old Choose Your Own Adventure books...)

Mentioned as a desired feature in the http://drupal.org/project/outline module, but I've no clue if it's been implemented yet.

I installed outline, but disabled it soon after. Nothing of that sort with this module.

I proposed a solution there:
