I ran into two problems enabling the module - the javascript library didn't quite get added properly and I needed to grant more permissions.
So, I thought I would add that to the README.

How about something like...
To provide more specific debug information add the 'debug' => TRUE value to teh line after $settings['swfupload_settings'][$element['#id']] = array(.

eugenmayer commentedI think a feature should be perfect, as its very easy to implement. (would need a seperate feature issue though)
