Users have reported this to me, and as Admin I am experiencing the same thing. I am on Drupal 6.17 and this happens in IE8, Firefox and Chrome.
It appears that users cannot log out of www.OurDownTownMarina.com. In actuality they are logged out, but it appears from their home page that they are not. This can best be demonstrated as the Admin. If I logout, it appears that I am not; I continue to see the Admin menu. However, if I click on any Admin menu item, the site comes back with Access Denied.
I have attempted to follow the user support forums, but they do not give a clear and concise solution. Can you help me fix this? I don't mind it as an Admin, but for the users, it does not look good and is confusing.
Thank you,
Andrew

Philosophyguru commentedI was having the same problem, very frustrating with site in a loop of looking like you are logged in, but not able to do anything.
The only thing I was doing, or changed recently was experimenting with different cache settings.
Went to admin/settings/performance and Clear cached data
Problem went away, for now.
Not exactly sure of root cause. Will keep an eye on it.

asodder commentedI have this same problem. Is there anything I can capture to help debug the issue?
Note that I can reproduce this issue on Chrome (8.0) only and not on IE (8.0).
