anarcat commentedPlease review the other submission that was sent before this: #831180: Hints for aeigir on gentoo. I marked the other one duplicate only because you provided a proper file. Please make sure there's nothing in the other issue that is missing from your .txt file.
Also set issues "needs review" when you provide a patch or file. :)
Thanks for your contribution!

kvanderw commentedAfter a bit of a chat with bertodsera on IRC, I have made some additions to the file.
A new copy is available for your review.

kvanderw commentedbertodsera pointed out a few spelling errors on my part....
So, another copy for your enjoyment.

kvanderw commentedI think we are done with minor updates at this point... so some additional review would be nice.
Thanks

anarcat commentedHello!
Sorry for the outrageous delays for looking into this, but I do not have access to a gentoo environment to test this and it seems nobody stepped forward to bring this up again through another review in time.
The install process changed. We do not require people to create a aegir_root user anymore. Everything is much simpler now. I strongly recommend you look again at the INSTALL.txt file and get familiar with the new hostmaster-install command that simplifies installation a whole lot.
So you just need to bring this file in sync with INSTALL.txt and get a third party review (or we'll just trust you and commit it already ;).
Thanks for your contribution.

kvanderw commentedJust saw this reply... Not sure how I missed the notification. But anyway.
Seems my 'upgrade' is a total cluster and after 3 tries... I am going to re-install.
This will put me back through the whole install process.
So, expect an updated document in the next few hours/days.
Kurt

steven jones commentedThis information should now be added to the community site here I think: http://community.aegirproject.org/node/389#Install_system_requirements, so you can update there rather than patching code!
