You should add a way to make the button labels translatable. Or is this already possible?

By default I don't think they are translatable. But you do have the option to change the button text to whatever you like under /admin/settings/multistep.

Actually, now they are both translatable and changeable. The caveat is that they are only translatable as long as you use the default labels (there is now a warning on that admin page). I think this is an acceptable compromise :P
I just committed the change, so it should be available as part of the nightly development snapshot.
