My store has no defined product types (which I assume you mean "classes").

So when I try to add an action involving a type/class, the final page of the form has just one requirement: amount.

The discount summary page shows the item field as 0 and quantity blank.

And so it doesn't seem to ultimately discount anything or therefore work.
